PRINCIPLES BEFORE PERSONALITIES
Your story
belongs to you.
Respect for anonymity is part of how we care for each other.
People’s privacy comes first
This website does not publish group members’ names, identifiable portraits, personal contact details or accounts of their attendance. The historical photo displays are described without reproducing their faces.
In the meeting
Please do not photograph or record people, identify someone as an AA member publicly, or repeat another person’s story. Let people decide what they share about themselves.
Using this website
The site has no member directory, registration form, comments, advertising or analytics code. It does not ask you to submit your story or record your reflections. The starting-point guide and reflection cards do not send your selections anywhere. The larger-text preference is saved only in this browser so it can be remembered between pages.
The hosting platform may use essential cookies, access controls and technical logs. Your browser or network may retain browsing history. This site cannot promise that a visit is untraceable.
Links to other websites
Official AA and NHS resources open on their own websites, which have their own privacy practices. Calls from the helpline links use your phone’s calling service.
About the readings
The supplied Steps, Traditions and Unity declaration are presented as readings with attribution. Additional reflections are original introductions for this site. Full Big Book chapters are linked through AA rather than republished here.
